Arab summit to take stand on Bashir

Arab leaders have gathered in Qatar to attend the 21st summit of the Arab League.

Besides trying to ease regional rifts, leaders have placed the arrest warrant issued against Omar al-Bashir, Sudan’s president, high on their agenda.

ICC to decide on arrest warrant for Bashir

The International Criminal Court will decide on whether to issue an arrest warrant for Omar al-Bashir, Sudan’s President on war crime charges.

While Bashir and his constituents remain defiant, popular and political support in Sudan may not be easy to sustain.
