Gaza survivors search for justice

Three months after the start of Israel’s 22-day offensive in the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera has returned to see how one family is recovering from their ordeal.

Forty-eight members of the Samouni family were killed in an Israeli bombardment and the survivors spent days trapped in the ruins of a house.

Now the survivors are looking for justice.

Al Jazeera’s Sherine Tadros reports from Zeitoun.

Gazans return to rubble

A lull in fighting has given many Palestinians in Gaza a chance to return to home since Israel’s offensive began 24 days ago.

Al Jazeera’s Sherine Tadros met one family who revisited their home in Attatra, but could nothing but destruction and desvastation.

Shelled family recounts Gaza horror

The International Committe for the Red Cross alleged that the Israeli army had refused to let them help a family trapped in a shelled house.

When paramedics were granted access, they say what they found was shocking: starving children were sitting beside the bodies of their dead parents and family.

Al Jazeera’s Sherine Tadros has gained exclusive access to the survivors.

Truce fails Palestinian resident

Despite a truce between Israel and Hamas, residents in the Gaza Strip still suffer. Deposed Palestinian prime minister Ismail Haniya is due to announce whether Hamas will extend a six month truce with Israel soon. Al Jazeera’s Sherine Tadros reports.
