US bankers’ face scrutiny over perks
Barack Obama, the US president, has said he fears there are more hard times ahead for the economy as the recession deepens.
But executives from big banks still get perks even after they received bailout funds.

Brown and Obama in first meeting
On Monday, Gordon Brown, the British prime minister, made his first visit to the United States since Barack Obama became president.
