Al-Megrahi’s release sparks row

The diplomatic feud over the homecoming of Abdel Basset al-Megrahi, the man convicted in the Lockerbie bomber, is deepening after the 57-year-old was given a warm reception by the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

Al Jazeera’s Nadim Baba reports from London.

  2. Political assassins and terrorists strike at the life blood of open, constitutional and democratic societies. Absent the death penalty, (which I agree should be abolished), these assholes should rot to death in prison whenever they can be caught and convicted. That’s what Megrahi was doing when he was let out, “Scot-Free”.
