Iraqis blame Tehran for their country’s turmoil

Since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, there has been growing concern about what many in Iraq see as Tehran’s interference in their country.

Now, some Iraqis say they are watching Iran’s post-election events unfold with a degree of satisfaction, because they believe the root cause of the turmoil and internal conflict in their country is Iran.

US camp helps troubled adoptees adapt

In the United States, adoptions of foreign-born children are coming under greater scrutiny.

Many of the children have been traumatised or negelected, but despite their new surroundings, some suffer ongoing emotional and psychological problems.

Al Jazeera’s Rob Reynolds traveled to a ranch in the state of Montana where he met dozens of children working to put their troubled past behind them.

Monaco defends its tax haven status

Tax havens are widely blamed as one of the root causes of the global economic crisis.

At the annual G20 summit in April, world leaders promised to launch a crackdown on tax havens. But so far, little has changed and governments appear to be taking no responsibility.

Violence on the streets of the Iranian capital



Iranians continue to protest against an election they believe was stolen.

Disturbing images of a teenager dying on the streets of Tehran have appeared on the internet. It is not possible to confirm what happened to the girl known as “Neda”.

However, Iran state television says at least 13 people were killed in clashes on Saturday.
